Ramadan Meherbaan 2022

Ramadan comprises prayers, charity, and reflecting on the holy book Quran Majeed. One of the foremost pillars of Islam is fasting during Ramadan while the other are faith, prayer, charity, and pilgrimage to Mecca. Muslims observe fasting to show sympathy towards the poor and needy. They not only fast for hours, but also consider giving money to charity or anyone in need.

In Islam, acts of kindness are regarded as a form of charity (Bukhari, Muslim). During Ramadhan, the Prophet (S.A.W) would be EVEN MORE generous in giving charity (Bukhari). If someone wants to earn high value rewards, then helping others is a deed of great value. Our Prophet PBUH on many occasions himself did many acts of service towards his companions to set an example for us and stating that the leader of the people is their servant. Small acts of kindness towards others receive great emphasis in the teachings of Islam. Three things in human life are important. The first is to be kind. The second is to be kind. And the third is to be kind.

This year Acts of Kindness Pakistan under the project of Ramadan Meherbaan again spreads the smiles through Ration Support Program and Iftar Dastarkhwan.
 In Ration Support Program 2022 AOK distributed ration packs in 8 cities of Pakistan. We distributed 137 out of 525 total ration packs in Islamabad, 125 in Abbottabad, 85 in Sialkot, 40 in Swabi, 35 in Bajaur, 28 in Kallar Kahar, 25 in Peshawar and 50 in Loralai. 

100 Ration Packs distributed among Transgenders in Islamabad. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of Acts Of Kindness Pakistan for the underprivileged community of Pakistan.
 
In Iftar Drive AOK arranged Iftar Dastarkhwan near Chaman Metro Station in G-9 on daily bases. Per day expense was almost 30,000 Pakistani Rupees. We served proper Iftari i.e Fruit, Pakoray, Sharbat, Chicken Qorma with Naan.

On average 300+ people were served daily. Majority people were daily wage laborers, taxi drivers, security guards etc. Everyone who joined the Dastarkhwan were welcomed with smiles. 

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. · The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.

My name is Muslim and I belong to Swabi. I work as a daily wager. I’m here for Iftaar. Sometimes we get the work and sometimes we don’t get it . Iftaar like this help me with saving some money. Since we are poor Even the Sehri cost us 200-300 pkr.
What do you get in the Iftaar here?
we get to have juice/sharbat, bread and sometimes chicken and beef as well along with different fruits
How many people come here on daily basis and where do they come from?
People come from different walks of life. They include even women and other daily wagers and labourers. Even yesterday they were around 300 including different travellers.
How do they give Iftaar? Like In what manner?
They first give us Curry/ Saalan along with the bread, then they give us Juices and then different fruits
Since how many days do you show up for Iftar here?
For past 4-5 days
And when you come here do they say anything like the place is overcrowded and you may go?
No no. They are very kind and they never do anything like this. Yesterday even we told them that it seems more people came here . And they were like it’s ok, everyone will have what fate hold for them.
